This Privacy Policy explains how Freedom Legacy LLC, doing business as ClearDataSource (“ClearDataSource,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit cleardatasource.com (the “Site”) or buy our data products. It also explains how we handle the public-record business information contained in those products.
1. Information we collect from Site visitors and customers
- Purchase information. When you buy a product, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email address, billing details, and payment card information. We receive your name, email, and purchase details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Communications. If you email us, we keep your message, your email address, and any information you choose to include.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and the date and time of a visit.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, and whether they download a sample or start a purchase. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device, and browser. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad targeting on the Site.
2. How we use this information
- To process purchases and deliver the files you buy.
- To respond to questions and provide customer support.
- To send information about our products. Every marketing email includes a way to opt out.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
3. How we share this information
We do not sell or rent our customers’ personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting), Google (website analytics), and our email and customer-management providers, who may use it only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, customers, or others.
- A successor business if ClearDataSource is merged, acquired, or sold.
4. Public-record business data in our products
Our data products are built from public government records, such as California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license records. These records can include business names, license numbers, business addresses, phone numbers, and the names of license holders or principals. We filter and organize this public information and license it to business customers for business-to-business prospecting and research.

5. Your choices and California rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you may opt out of marketing emails at any time. To make a request, email hello@cleardatasource.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
6. Data retention and security
We keep customer information as long as needed to provide our products, meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Children
The Site and our products are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
