Data Source & Removal

Where our data comes from
ClearDataSource builds its contractor products from public records published by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB). These records include information the CSLB makes available to the public, such as business name, license number, license classification, issue date, business address, phone number, and the names of license holders or principals.
We filter these records, for example to newly issued licenses with active status, and organize them into files that businesses use to offer services to new contractors, such as insurance, payroll, equipment, and financing.
Request removal of your record
If your business or name appears in our data and you would prefer not to be included, we will remove it from our future products. Email hello@cleardatasource.com with the subject line “Data Removal Request” and include:
- Your name and business name
- Your CSLB license number, which lets us find the right record
- The email address where we can confirm your request
We will confirm your request and remove your record from all future ClearDataSource products, normally within 30 days. Removal from our files does not change your public record with the CSLB, and we cannot recall copies of files that customers purchased before your request.
